Mufti Hussain Kamani
Mufti Hussain Kamani is the Director of the Qalam Seminary and a senior faculty member, where he teaches Hadith, Fiqh, and Tazkiyah. With over two decades of experience in teaching and community leadership, he has mentored and trained over a thousand students, many of whom now serve as imams, chaplains, educators, and leaders across the United States.
Born in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, to a Hindu convert to Islam and a Muslim father, Mufti Kamani began his pursuit of sacred knowledge at a young age, traveling internationally to memorize the Quran. He later undertook rigorous studies in the United Kingdom, completing a seven-year Alimiyyah program followed by postgraduate specialization in Islamic Law and Legal Verdicts with a focus on the Hanafi Madhab. Since 2015, he has served as the Imam at Masjid Al-Rahman in Carrollton, where he leads prayers, delivers sermons, and conducts weekly educational programs.
Dedicated to preserving classical scholarship while addressing contemporary challenges, he has made thousands of hours of lectures freely available through the Qalam Podcast, ensuring accessible Islamic learning for students worldwide. Beyond his academic work, he has trained in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for over 14 years and runs Kamanionline.com, a Muslim men’s clothing brand known for its elegant and modest apparel. Mufti Kamani’s work is driven by a deep commitment to tradition and a dedication to shaping a new generation of leaders who meet the challenges of the modern world. -

Sister Sameen Qudsi is an accomplished executive with extensive experience leading complex, high-stakes initiatives and transforming critical programs into sustainable successes. Over the past decade, Sameen has led multiple $10M+ professional services engagements for Federal and Fortune 500 clients, delivering exceptional outcomes by navigating organizational complexity, aligning diverse stakeholders, and building high-performing teams.
Known for calm, strategic leadership and operational rigor, Sameen brings valuable expertise in enterprise strategy, governance, risk management, and scalable growth—skills especially critical to nonprofits navigating change and pursuing impact at scale.
As a board member, Sameen offers a pragmatic, outcome-focused perspective, a deep commitment to mission-driven organizations, and a proven ability to help organizations thrive during times of growth and transformation.

Shaykh AbdulNasir Jangda
Shaykh AbdulNasir Jangda is the Founder and President of Qalam. He is a faculty member at the Qalam Seminary where he teaches Sahih Bukhari, advanced Tafsir, Usul, Fiqh, Aqidah, and Balaghah. He has completed an extensive study of the life of the Prophet ﷺ in the Seerah Podcast. He annually teaches the Qur’an Intensive and Seerah Intensive, and leads groups on the Seerah Umrah tour, as well as to Masjid Al-Aqsa.
Born and raised in Dallas, he currently resides there with his wife and three children. He memorized the Qur’an in Karachi at an early age. After high school, he returned to Karachi to study the Islamic sciences full-time at Jamia Binoria. He graduated from the rigorous ‘alim program in 2001 at the top of his class. He then completed specializations in Fiqh and Tafsir. He also attained a B.A. and M.A. in Arabic from Karachi University while completing a Masters in Islamic Studies from the University of Sindh. After returning home, he taught at the local university and Islamic schools, and served as an imam in the Dallas area.

Imam Haris Qudsi
Imam Haris Qudsi is a graduate of Qalam Institute ʿĀlimiyyah and Al-Rahmah Seminary, and is a direct descendant of the founder of Darul Uloom Deoband, Maulana Qasim Nanotwi. He has dedicated his life to the pursuit of the Islamic Sciences and educating the masses in the nuances of our faith, while being a servant to charitable causes and organizations. He has a particular interest in working with young professionals, helping them see the beauty of our religion and easing their already difficult journey in faith through discussion, collaboration and education. He lives with his wife in the Owings Mills area and has served as the Imam at ICOM since January 2022.

Ustadha Aatifa Shareef
Ustadha Aatifa Shareef is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas & Maryland. She holds a Masters in Psychology degree with a Clinical Concentration from the University of Dallas as well as an ʿĀlimiyyah degree from the Qalam Seminary. Born and raised in Columbus, OH, she graduated from Northwestern University with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Religious Studies. She is working to combine her two fields of study by understanding psychology in an Islamic context and providing counseling for the Muslim community in America.
